Regrowing Brain Telomeres.

Before getting into the deeper discussions on what the telomeres are and what they have to do with the lengthening of life, we have to discuss the prevalence of the rise and situation regarding Diabetes Type 3. While some of  you may have never heard of this term, and while it is an unofficial classification; many in the health field have been calling Alzheimer’s and its associated symptoms-Type 3 Diabetes and vice-versa.

Why is this you may ask? This is due to the insulin resistance that is contributing and is also present in those showing steady brain decline. The connection goes deeper. Neurons in the brain are not firing and connecting to insulin receptors in those with Alzheimer’s disease- thus the Type 3 understanding. What can we gather from all of this?

Taking care of the health and wellbeing of the brain early in life as soon as we can is critical, so that it can take care of us later in our lives. Type 3 C Diabetes could be the result of pancreatitis, and cystic fibrosis And some are citing Alzheimer’s as a direct result of this sugar imbalance and severe plaque buildup. It’s the telomerase in healing foods and herbs that counterattack all of these issues.

THE BRAIN SOLUTION.

Telomeres are repetitive DNA chain codes on the ends of proteins in the body, particularly in the brain region. These telomeres are responsible for and manage the lifespan of every cell in our bodies. We are all cells. We are cellular, when considering the physical level. So what causes these telomeres to shorten and then break off, eventually leading to the death of the telomeres? This is what we call Downregulation and can happen within a short period of someone’s life; within years. One of the fastest ways that telomeres become down regulated and break down can be due to oxidative stress, lack of physical activity, obesity, significant exposure to radiation and poor nutritional intake on the inside. The challenging thing about this information is that these breakdowns happen seconds at a time.

The solution is then, Upregulation. There are ways to do it. There was a study in 2002, where a study group of women were given daily multivitamins throughout the course of the trial; due to the micronutrient content. It showed that they were able to maintain or regrow telomere length  and brain activity. The major nutrients involved in the telomere care were the Vitamins of C, D, A and E.

Sijunzi devotion of the 4 herbs, is a Chinese formula that has shown promise in the regrowth and maintenance of telomere activity in the heart and brain region. The tissues showed regrowth and better health for the telomeres. Taking Sijunzi decoction appears to have supports for brain health and Vitality into the later years.

A specific enzyme from the Astragalus herb known as – cycloastragenol has been shown to hold out telomere loss and a purification of the white blood cells; showing antiviral activity. This is important to know because viruses and bacterias hamper and take apart the Life Force by keeping the individual in a sickly state. Lack of flowing Life Force, shortens telomere functions. In addition to all of these herbal actions, lifelong meditators and those who did strength training on a weekly basis appear to have been able to keep their telomeres intact, or regrow them altogether.

The main takeaway is this: declining brain health is not a given and not unavoidable; we can influence and even guide the outcome of brain health to the best of our abilities. Because poor brain health starts so subtly, many just pass it off as just a forgetful moment here and there. But Alzheimer’s is a force to be reckoned with and something to be proactive about. Time and time again, lifestyle factors seem to play a part in how and even if a disease manifests. Our brains deserve the best care it can receive.
