Being that the world’s leading cause of mortality is from heart disease and cardiac (heart) related complications, this leads us to a very big question: “How can we manage our heart health power especially during this time of a global health crisis?” Depending on which type of practitioner you ask, you may get several diverse types of responses. One thing though that cannot be left out or not taken into consideration is that fact that the human body is just as much electrical as it is physical, and the human heart is the ignition site for that electricity to spread throughout the body. This is our continuation on the discussion from the Heart Health Series. Our current lifestyle patterns of the world today place severe pressures on the physical heart today; either in the form lack of energy to exercise for the benefit of the heart or through the eating of excess foods that diminish the heart’s power and vital life force. If the heart’s power is challenged or compromised in anyway, it’s effects can be measured throughout the body in some form; the key is to maintain and nurture heart electricity.
When thinking about keeping our heart’s electrical circuit intake intact, we are talking about maintaining the right balance of potassium and proper sodium on the most basic of levels. And it must be understood that these should be sought out from the most cleanest of sources as much as possible: especially when considering sodium. One might be wondering how anyone alive today can be missing sodium and it must be remembered that we are talking about the right balance of it and the sodium that comes from mostly ultra-processed foods have it in excess, which can lead to inflammation of the heart. This excess of harmful forms of sodium lead to high blood pressure, heart arrythmias and heart disease. While we can intervene and make changes that will benefit the health of the heart, we must keep in mind that most heart problems that people experience, actually started in and from childhood. Fatty streaks and heart lesions can be seen in children as early as age ten, from those raised on the Standard American Diet. But we still have an opportunity to intervene, we can change the outcome when we begin to understand that electricity is how the heart pumps and contracts. When the heart is out of balance it has to work harder, which pulls reserve vital life force energy from the body, thus resulting in shallow breathing, chronic tiredness and fatigue. When faced with this reality day in and day out, the frame of the body cannot sustain the pressure can result in cardiac arrest.
It is our SA (sinoatrial) node in the upper chamber of the heart and the AV (atrioventricular) node that uses the right balance of potassium and sodium (like from iodine) to keep the heart pumping and contracting igniting the Spark, so-to-speak to allow the body to move and the organs to do their proper job. When thinking about how the heart does this on a seamless basis, it can only bring up feelings of gratitude. We are literally electrical beings and the key is to nurture and maintain the electrical flow for maximum longevity. So, if we feel like we are out of balance, excessively tired, face chronic insomnia, or cannot feel present in our bodies, we should really look and how we are eating for our hearts. Both literally and figuratively.
While our thyroid’s may be our conductors, our hearts are our Power Source and sometimes all that is needed is a re-calibration for syncing to restore and ensure that the electrical flow can operate at its highest. We can do this at anytime we become aware of it. If we are already aware of it, all we have to do is maintain it.
